Trip Leaders MUST complete a club trip sign-up sheet (PDF Document)


Trip Grades:
A - Steep and difficult terrain. Numerous rock ledges, deep mud or water crossings.
      Recovery equipment is required. Winching may be incurred. Spare pair of clean underpants required!
B - Challenging and exciting terrain. Recovery is possible but not always necessary. 
     Suitable for non-standard vehicles.
C - Medium to Easy terrain. Alternative routes usually exist around obstacles. 
     Suitable for standard vehicles.
D - Easy dirt or bitumen roads. 4WD not needed.

$32 camping fees for the weekend
The plan is to meet at 4:30 at Williamsdale (over the road from the petrol station), then we should arrive at Tom Groggin by around 7pm ready to set up camp.

Cape York
Date: Leaving Canberra 29 June 2009
Grade: Level of difficulty will be assessed with each travller

Location: Cape York ! Obviously !
The first part of the trip is about 3 weeks. The plan is to high tail it to Cape York, then work our way back down making stops at various interesting places along the way and stopping in Cairns. At this point, some people have indicated that they would like to split off and do various other side trips or return home.
